Call for Paper Scholarship Description: European Union Youth Empowerment Program in cooperation with the South African Department of Arts and Culture (DAC) seeks grant proposals that aim YOUTH EMPOWERMENT THROUGH ARTS AND CULTURE. Call for Proposals global objective is to create opportunities for youth empowerment in the field of culture, to include youth as a driver in the social and economic development in South Africa. The specific objectives of the Call for Proposals is to empower young people in South Africa to improve their life skills through art and cultural activities which will engage with disadvantaged youth, including those in the organized life of society and pave the way for youth to contribute positively to the development area. This Call for Paper supports DAC priorities for future engagement with donors, particularly targeting juvenile offenders, youth and the arts, human settlements and the beauty of public spaces, and people with disabilities. Special attention should also be given to important issues such as youth participation, the Millennium Development Goals, good governance, HIV / AIDS, prevention of crime and violence, gender, environment, cooperation with actors of non-state, social cohesion and capacity building.
